Intercounty provides a competitive,  program starting at U9 for 3rd graders. Players in 3rd Grade and older choose either Intercounty Soccer (open registration) or Travel Soccer (tryouts and fall/spring commitment required). Note that in Intercounty U9&U10 players are combined (typically 3rd and 4th graders) in the U10 division which is weighted by team level of play

The Intercounty Youth Soccer League (ICYSL) is a limited-travel, competitive league made up of teams from 22 towns surrounding or near Kenilworth, providing the opportunity for non-travel soccer players to participate and develop their skills in a competitive environment.  A few towns included in the ICYSL are: Westfield, Scotch Plains, Edison, Roselle, Cranford, Rahway, Clark, Summit, Springfield, Mountainside, New Providence, Plainfield and South Orange / Maplewood. Over 100 teams play in the U-10 (9-10 year olds typically in 3rd & 4th grade), U-12, U-14 & U-17 Boys & Girls divisions.
